Evaluation
The good things
- We used an appropriate Mise en scene for our interview.
- The interviewee was framed correctly. She was on the right of the screen facing the left.
- We also varied our camera shots, so for example medium close up to close up.
- We managed to get a talkative interviewee, so our questions were answered correctly including lots of information and not short and simple.
- There was a good variety of cut aways which related to the interview and fit in nicely with the editing.
- The sound of the interview was really clear, we filmed in a quiet classroom so there was no background noise.
- The editing and interview answers flow better in the second half of the interview.
The bad things
- For the background of the interview you could see the task bar on the computer screen so the audience said it would be better if it was framed higher.
- The camera work was often a bit shaken and to solve this we should have used a tripod.
- To make the interview more interesting we should have used a music bed.
- The edits in our interview needed to be cleaner as they where jumpy in some places.
- Throughout the interview there is not many cut aways, there needed to be more between answers and when the camera shot changes, we needed these to tighten the editing.
- We should have used graphics in our interview, eg. introducing the interviewee and showing who produced the film.
- Some of the cut aways where not correctly placed on the screen so we needed to edit them to fill the screen.
- Lastly we need to make sure that cut aways are not on the screen for too long.
